Susan moved 15 times during her school years. When she married her high school sweetheart Tom, she jokes about including in the wedding vows, "I will not move"! During their 35 years marriage there have been only 4 moves. Son, Tom enjoyed the quiet small town of Kersey to grow up and made lifelong friends. The acreage they currently live on has been sanctuary for 18 years. Their grandsons, Derek and Darren climb the apple trees, chase each other on their motorcycles and float boats in the ditch. New grandson Hayden, 9 months old will be in the middle of all the action soon. Clancy, Susan's Jack Russell Terrier has proven to be quite an entertainment. He came with his own disclosure papers for ornery behavior.
The family passion for camping and trail riding motorcycles is still strong. Susan rides the expert trails in Moab, Utah and recently tackled the Rainbow Trail, south of Salida, CO. There, she takes time for her two other passions: hiking and writing poetry. In 2001 she and a friend hiked the 14,000 ft. Longs Peak trail as a 50th birthday challenge. Susan is always motivating herself to accomplish more. A few years ago she and her church went to Huanuco, Peru to spread the gospel. She describes it as a life-changing event.
After 25 years as a Realtor, Susan has perfected the caring and empathy for her customers that go far beyond the call of duty. She connects with the first time home buyer, remembering as a little girl yearning for a permanent home. The joy of walking in the door of her first Kersey home was indescribable. Her enthusiasm and adventurous spirit will serve you well finding or selling your home, closing the acreage of your dreams or starting a portfolio for good real estate investments. And don't forget how well she knows moving!!
Susan would love to talk with you about your real estate needs and of course any of her other passions.
